Banff National Park

About 90 minutes west of Calgary, Banff National Park is the Canadian Rockies at their most famous. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake glow an unreal turquoise, colored by glacial rock flour beneath the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Late June through September is the season, when the high lakes are thawed and every trail is open.
