Victoria Falls

Description: Victoria Falls is the largest continuous curtain of falling water on earth: the Zambezi River dropping 108 meters along a 1,708 meter cliff on the Zambia Zimbabwe border. Zimbabwe side Holds most of the classic viewpoints along the rainforest walk facing the curtain, with the town of Victoria Falls right by the park gate. Zambia side Holds Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool, the natural rock pool at the very lip, open roughly August to January when the river runs low. Quieter, with the town of Livingstone as the base. Location: Zambia Zimbabwe border, southern Africa Best season: February to May for maximum flow; August to January for Devil's Pool
